भीम आर्मी के साथी यह अच्छी तरह समझ लें कि उनके सारे मौजूदा और भावी मुद्दे अंततः मज़दूर वर्ग के नेतृत्व में जालिम शासकों-शोषकों यानि पूँजीपति-जमींदार वर्ग और उनके सर्वेसर्वा साम्राज्यवाद से सड़कों पर, फैक्टरियों-खदानों में और खेत खलिहानों में जीवन और मरण की लड़ाई लड़ते हुए ही तय होंगे, अन्यथा नहीं होंगे। पार्लियामेंट और विधान सभाओं के तथाकथित दलित रहनुमाओं, यानी, पूँजीवादी-दलितवादी मदारियों के भरोसे तो बिलकुल ही नहीं।

और हाँ, उन संशोधनवादी-अवसरवादियों के भरोसे भी नहीं जो आंबेडकर और मार्क्स को महज इसलिए अवसरवादी तरीके से मिलाते है ताकि ये दलितों के नाम पर उनके जुझारू लड़ाई को वोट हासिल करने का साधन बना सकें और चंद पार्लियामेंट्री सीटें जीत सकें और फिर इसी पूँजीवादी मशीनरी के तहत वाम सरकार बना कर पूँजी की मैनेजरी प्राप्त कर सकें। आज ये यही अपना एकमात्र लक्ष्य बना चुके हैं और मार्क्सवाद और कम्युनिज्म का carricature करते हैं। अगर ये मामूली सबक भी ये नहीं सीख सके हैं तो इनकी अंतिम परिणति एक और बसपा या लोजपा से अधिक नहीं होने वाली है। दोस्तो! हमारी यह बात कड़वी जरूर है लेकिन सत्य है।

Kashmir: What is to be done?

Kashmir issue, like any other national issues, has become very complicated due rise of right wing ideology, in almost all other countries. The left ideology is natural product of civilisation, where the minorities rules the majority & survives on the latter's hard work!
Right to secede must be seen in relation to the working class, its interests, its unity & struggle, in the historical development of that nation, the people, language, economic situation, cultural bondage.
National issue must be tackled in totality but negating religion, national chauvinism, imperialist interests and interferences.
Present Kashmir issue is further complicated by the foreign & domestic terrorism.
Question must be asked, will free Kashmir or Kashmir with Pakistan uphold people's democracy, favour the forward march of the working class in its historical task to liberate itself from the yoke of capitalism?
Will breaking a nation into many, on the issue of Right to Secede, like Yugoslavia or South Sudan, help the proletarian class or the imperialist blocks, who destroyed the earlier existing state, to capture the state, the market and the natural resources?
There will be many more questions, more variables and aspects, when we raise the question of Kashmir. I am aware of the misuse of AFSPA and other oppression on the people of Kashmir, which are similar to the rest of the country, with some variations.
The solution must be debated in wider perspective, with the sole aim to promote the interests of the working class, the peasants and not that of the religious, political parasites and henchmen, the imperialists powers and their puppet countries in our region! 
National issue must be, like that of women, part of the proletarian revolution, leading to socialist revolution!

I have watched and read the coverage and comments on Gurmehar Kaur's stand on violence with increasing dismay and concern. We are these days so determined to brand people to fit into various categories that we tend to lose balance; even go over-board in making denunciations or in defending the indefensible.
I do not expect my views will even be read by other than a few but that's not important...Giving an unbiased opinion certainly is.
Firstly, Gurmehar is just a kid. She is all of 20 and is a student at an elite Delhi college for women. She clearly has seerat and soorat which isnt unusual. Many of her peers are in the same category. She is an Army brat and thats pretty routine too.
Secondly, her father died in combat and in Kashmir, soon after the Kargil War ended in July 1999. He was entitled to wear the war medal (Operation Vijay) authorised to all those who were deployed for combat at that time. It is loosely called the Kargil War medal but covers combat even in the Valley, the deserts, elsewhere wherever deployment was ordered. So does that make the girl a liar? Clearly, this is irresponsible branding.
Thirdly, he died during a terrorist strike on his company camp at Natnoosa, Kupwara..died on the spot. Read this report on his death:
"Capt Mandeep Singh was commander of the 4 RR company which came under anti-national elements’ fire assault on his post in Natnoosa village, Kupwara. During the encounter at approximately 1.15 am on August 6, 1999, he received splinter injury on the left infra-clavicular region and was declared dead on the spot.”
He was thus a martyr as much as the Kargil War heroes were and, yes, he was killed by Pakistani/Pak inspired terrorists. Is the young lady lying? I should think not. Have media and "experts/itinerant cricketers and childish actors gone berserk? Take a call.
Fourthly, I have some idea what I am talking about and am not making breathless assessments on the basis on irresponsible media reportage. One of the units under my command as an RR Sector Commander in 1998 was 4 RR which was then located at Bij Biara, a few kilometers away from my HQ. I visited the Unit very often as one must, knew its ethos and its officers and visited their company posts. Mandeep then had about 7 years service and I do not recall him in particular, but do recall that the Unit was doing well and had quality "rafta" (rapport) with both locals and intezamia (civil administration). They left my orbat six months into my command and thereafter went through a trying time which does not concern this narrative at all. They went to another sector, 7 RR Sector and that is where young Mandeep lost his life.
Lastly, the kid Gurmehar was brought up wonderfully by wise Mum not to grow up with hatred in her dna. Was that wrong of Mum? Little girl? I certainly do not think so. In that context if a 20 year old kid says the war claimed her Daddy, is she showing political affiliation? Take a call. The fact that the terrorist attack was Pakistani or Pakistani sponsored is not as important as a Mum and childs strategy to grow up without hatred.
Let the kid be...Let her top her honours degree and become a world class pacifist. No harm there either.
Let you and I handle Pakistan and others in the way we are trained and educated for and without apology.

गधों से प्रेरणा: पूंजीवादी संस्कृति

आजकल हमारे देश के प्रधानमंत्री गधों से प्रेरणा ले रहे हैं और प्रधानमंत्री के भक्‍त प्रधानमंत्री से। ऐसे में ये कहानी जो सेर्गेई मिखाल्कोव ने आज से शायद 50 साल पहले लिखी थी, बेहद प्रासंगिक हो उठती है।

*गधा और ऊदबिलाव*

एक बार की बात है, जंगल के बीचोबीच गलियारे में एक बहुत प्यारा नन्हा पेड़ था ।
एक दिन एक गधा दौड़ता हुआ उस जंगली रास्ते पर आया; लेकिन जब वह दूसरी ओर देख रहा था, उसी समय पेड़ से टकरा गया; और उसे इतनी तेज चोट लगी कि दिन में तारे नजर आने लगे ।
गधे को बहुत गुस्सा आया । वह नदी की ओर गया और बाहर से ऊदबिलाव को, जिसे वह पहले से जानता था, पुकारने लगा-
“मैं पूछता हूँ, ऊदबिलाव! क्या तुम जंगल की उस जगह को जानते हो, जिसके बीचोबीच एक पेड़ लगा हुआ है ।”
“हाँ–हाँ, मैं जानता हूँ!”
“तो तुम मेरा एक काम कर दो-जाओ और उस पेड़ को गिरा दो-तुम्हारे पास तो बहुत नुकीले दाँत हैं ।”
“लेकिन तुम इस धरती पर किसलिए हो ?”
“मेरा सिर उससे टकरा गया, देखो यह गूमड़-कितना बड़ा–सा है ?”
“तुम्हारी नजरें कहाँ थीं ?”
“कहाँ ? कहाँ थी मतलब ? मैं दूसरी ओर देख रहा था! मेहरबानी करके जाओ और पेड़ को काट डालो!”
“मैं ऐसा नहीं कर सकता । जंगली रास्ते में वह बहुत अच्छा लगता है ।”
“लेकिन वह मेरे रास्ते में आया । मेरे लिए उसे काट डालो, ऊदबिलाव!”
“नहीं, मैं नहीं काटूँगा!”
“ये क्या बात हुई; क्या यह तुम्हारे लिए बहुत कठिन है ?”
“नहीं, पर मैं ऐसा नहीं करूँगा, चाहे तुम कुछ भी कहो!”
“क्यों नहीं करोगे ?”
“क्योंकि अगर मैंने ऐसा कर भी दिया, तो तुम किसी झाड़ी से टकरा जाओगे!”
“तो तुम झाड़ी को उखाड़ देना ।”
“अगर मैंने ऐसा भी कर दिया तो तुम किसी गड्ढे में गिर जाओगे और अपनी टाँगें तुड़वा लोगे ।”
“मैं क्यों ऐसा करूँगा ?”
“क्योंकि तुम एक गधे हो ।” ऊदबिलाव ने कहा।

इस वक्त तमिलनाडु में पिछले 80 वर्ष का सबसे भयंकर सूखा पड़ा है, गरीब किसान-खेत मजदूर बेहद तकलीफदेह हालात में हैं, जीवन चलाने के लिए अपनी थोड़ी-बहुत मिलकियत को सूदखोरों के पास गिरवी रख रहे हैं। उसके बारे में कितने लोगों ने सुना है?
अभी ही आईटी कंपनी कर्मचारी, व्यावसायिक कॉलिजों के छात्र (सहयोग के लिए कॉलिजों ने छुट्टी कर दी है!), वकील, आदि खाया अघाया वह तबका जो मेहनतकशों के किसी भी आंदोलन-हड़ताल पर नफरत का बांध तोड़ देता है, तमिल 'कल्चर' बचाने के लिए मरीना बीच जैसी जगहों पर आंदोलन के लिए आ गया है, कहा जा रहा है कि यह स्वतः-स्फूर्त अराजनीतिक है, कोई नेता-संगठन नहीं है (पर साउंड सिस्टम है, अन्य व्यवस्था है!) ऐसे ही खाते-पीते तबके में लोकप्रिय अंग्रेजी मीडिया तो कल शाम से ही निरन्तर कवरेज और राजनीतिविहीन आंदोलन की तारीफ में कसीदे काढ़ने में जुट गया है। बीजेपी प्रवक्ता भी संस्कृति प्रेम के घोर प्रदर्शन में जुट गए हैं - विशेष तबको की ही संस्कृति में दखल की शिकायत भी होने लगी है (बिरयानी पर प्रतिबन्ध क्यों नहीं?)
ऐसा ही एक आंदोलन दिल्ली में शुरू हुआ था, कुछ साल पहले, याद है?
