No. Reservation has to do nothing with the poverty in any country. It only means sharing few jobs from limited jobs to those who are socially or otherwise backwards for generations and are not able to compete with those who have access to education and other facilities more easily.
Catch word is “few jobs from limited jobs”. But why? Because there are not enough jobs, more than 10% unemployment rate and more than 94% workers are in unorganized sectors, who are in pitiable conditions, unable to manage their 3 times meal, proper houses and clothing, medication and education for their children and healthcare.
Present political economy needs unemployment, inflation and this breeds high profitable rates, and the capitalist class ensures this, through its political parties and state departments, pillars of “democracy”. To tie up the unemployed workers, in hundreds of millions in India, the state needs them to be divided and make them imbeciles and superstitious, which we are witnessing today!
We need 100% employment, whichever the system may be but the “educated” lots feel threatened that their liberty will be taken away as the capitalist class will not have liberty to make profit on the cost of the people! Funny equation, is not it? But the ignorance that has come into the masses through schools, state machinery, religious and cultural institutions, corporate media, controlled social media, also brings that equation, which raises alarm in your controlled brain that the private property is under threat (it is not personal belongings, like your house, car, etc. which you own!) and you rebel against what is good for you and support your master as a slave!
Reservation will vanish if 100% employment is ensured, alongside religion, caste, nationalism!
